About Makiah

I have over five years of professional experience working with children of all ages, from kindergarten through high school. As a Youth Program Manager at a middle school, I plan and lead engaging programs, mentor students, supervise activities, and create safe, positive environments that support social and emotional growth. In addition to my program management experience, I have coached youth sports for students ranging from elementary to high school, helping develop teamwork, confidence, and life skills. My background has given me experience working with a wide variety of personalities, developmental stages, and individual needs, allowing me to build strong, trusting relationships with children while maintaining structure, safety, and fun.
