About Makia

Hi there! I'm the second oldest of four children, so you could say I've been helping raise kids from a young age. My love for childcare really started while I was serving in the military. I used to babysit for families in my command to earn a little extra on the side, and I quickly realized how much I enjoyed it. I've been caring for children consistently since 2018, and I've gained experience with all age groups, from infants to early preschoolers. Most recently, I worked as an assistant teacher at La Petite Academy from March to August 2025, where I supported classroom activities, helped with developmental milestones, and created a safe, nurturing environment for little ones. I'm patient, reliable, and truly passionate about helping children learn and grow in a positive space.
