About Makenzie

For over 17 years, I've been joyfully watching children of all ages. My early babysitting experiences sparked a passion to positively impact young lives, which continues to grow as I prepare to welcome my own child this fall. I am patient, creative, friendly, and comfortable enforcing household rules. I enjoy playing outdoor games, board games, and educational activities. I communicate with parents using their preferred method, offering regular updates. I am happy to help with cooking, carpooling, light housekeeping, and swimming supervision. I have First Aid Training, CPR Training, and early child development coursework. I have worked the last 2 years as a middle and high school guide at a private school. I don't have a formal teaching degree but have learned to help kids learn in a creative way. If tutoring is something you would like me to help with, I am willing to learn the material ahead of time and find fun ways to walk your child through learning.
