About Makenna

Hello! My name is Makenna , I'm 23 years old, and I'm a dedicated caregiver! I'm currently in school for social work, on the path to becoming a private practice play therapist. I've been in the childcare field for 7 years, with children ranging in age from infancy to 12 years old. I have extensive experience working with multiples, meal prepping, cleaning, transportation, and tutoring. I also have experience caring for those on the spectrum, and with DMDD. My work/ volunteer experience includes private caregiving for families from 2018-present, counseling at the YWCA G. U. T. S (Girls Using Their Strengths) program, Peer Mentoring at the Center for Leadership in Disability, mentor at Kate's Club (a program for children who've experienced grief), and apprentice at the Boyce L Ansley school (a private school for children experiencing homelessness). Uplifting the next generation through empathy and structure is my passion, and I'm eager to continue this work with your family!
