About Makena

I have worked as a support special needs teacher for the past 3 years, before that I spent 4 months volunteering at that same school to build knowledge. I have many babysitting references that I would be happy to provide. I am CPR and first aid certified, water safety certified, PCM certified, and have done many courses on teaching/teaching students with learning disabilities. I love doing outdoor activities, finding developmentally appropriate activities, reading books, imaginative play. I have a patient demeanor and lots of experience knowing how to handle conflict appropriately. I grew up helping my mom run her in home daycare, She is now a local nanny and has been in childcare for many years. I have experience working with multiple children as well.
