About Makena

I have over five years of full-time experience as an adult caregiver, providing dedicated care for my mother during her journey with early-onset Alzheimer's. In this role, I managed all aspects of her daily life, including coordinating and driving to medical appointments, preparing meals, maintaining a clean and safe home, and organizing and administering medications. Most importantly, I prioritized preserving her dignity, independence, and sense of self through every stage of care. In addition, I have supported my grandmother by visiting her multiple times a week to cook, provide transportation to appointments, and offer companionship. I understand how important it is to find someone you can truly trust to care for your family. While nothing replaces the love of family, I strive to provide that same level of compassion, respect, and attentiveness.
