About Makayla

Empowering young learners to reach their full potential is the core of my teaching practice. With my years ofexperience as a certified teacher, I specialize in helping elementary students master Math, English, Science, and Social Studies. My approach focuses on building confidence and fostering a genuine love for learning rather than simple memorization!! By actively observing how your child interacts with new material, I adapt my strategies to best fit your child. I believe that breaking complex problems into manageable steps and connecting lessons to personal interests keeps students motivated and engaged. I often utalize my own past experiences to help shape my teachings. Open communication with families is essential to my process, as it ensures we are always working toward the same goals! Nothing brings me more joy than witnessing that "aha!" moment when a student finally masters a challenging concept. I truly look forward to supporting your child's academic journey.
