About Makayla

Hi!! My name is Makayla and fostering a safe and fun environment and making a positive impact on children's lives is what I strive for because as a child I was in after school care daily. have five years of experience caring for children aged 3 to 14. I have taught martial arts and been an after school and summer camp counselor at my martial arts studio for over four years now. I am happy to care for up to three children. I have experience caring for up to 45 kids together with support staff and up to 20 kids by myself at times, additionally, I have experience transporting on field trips and from school to camp. I love the outdoors and am extremely athletic, so I love to have fun outside. I absolutely love cooking for other people and would be happy to do so. I follow the parents' lead when enforcing household rules and follow their preferred communication methods. I have a car and am comfortable with pets, I have 3 dogs at home. I am also certified in CPR and First Aid.
