I have always had a very strong desire for babies and kids. When I was around 10 years old I started babysitting at my neighbors house and continued babysitting there until I was 17. When I was 17 I started seeking out nannying and got a job with a little boy who was thought to have autism (wasn't diagnosed). I realized then that I was very good with kids who had cognitive impairments because I know a lot about behavioral signs and things like that. I later got a job with two girls (2&4) who both have autism. Both of them are non verbal and neither are potty trained. Needless to say, over the past year or so I've really started to dive into working with special needs babies/kids and I truly love it! If there is anything I don't know and need to learn I will be more than happy to do so!
