About Makayla

I have 10 years of childcare under my belt, with my most current job being a year of professional care. I worked as an infant teacher for a non profit, where I learned the in and outs of my children. This meant I ran a classroom of up to 8 children at a time, where every child had a curriculum designed for them and their needs based on age, milestones, mobility and more. I care for children as young as 6 weeks to as old as 24 months. I also have a background in youth arts programming. My priority in nannying and childcare is to work with families to help support their children in reaching milestones within mobility and cognitive functioning. I prioritize teaching children to help ask for what they need, which before speaking, looks like basic sign language to help us better understand them. I believe children deserve the right to understand their needs and communicate those needs. I am CPR certified, and am open to help with Travel and Cooking/Meal Preparation.
