About Makayla

Makayla has been an angel for our family! She came to us when my daughter was struggling with multiple medical diagnosis around feeding and would not take a bottle. I had to return to work and I took a lot of time to find someone that would have the patience with my 10 month old (at the time). Makayla was that person! She came with vast experience with special needs that changed my daughters experience with eating almost immediately. She goes to all of my daughter's doctor and nutrition appointments and is invested in her health and well being. She began working for us over 2 years ago and she has become such a big part of our family! We genuinely care about her and have loved her time with us. The only reason she is seeking a new family to employ her is because I am planning to become a stay at home mom due to being a military family. Makayla is a true child whisperer. The way children respond to her is something so incredible to watch. It's funny being a parent, but learning techniques from her that benefit my parenting style. It happens so often. She's also open to learning what works best for my daughter around sleep training, eating, schedules, etc. She is extremely responsible, ALWAYS on time (usually a few minutes early) and my daughter loves to go on age appropriate outings with her. Last summer, my daughter had the best time going to L. with her on play dates almost weekly. She also watched another little boy in our home this past year, and has been so good with activities for both of them. It's been amazing how she has taught both of them such important social skills like sharing and taking turns. We are going to miss her so much! If you are a family looking for an incredible nanny, Makayla is such an incredible choice. A huge bonus is that Makayla is a licensed cosmetologist! She cuts our entire family's hair, even extended family...right in our home. She gave my daughter her first haircut, which was something so special to have her caregiver do for her. Now my daughter begs for her to cut her hair to be cut by Makayla all of the time. Not to mention the adorable ways that she does her hair almost daily. Seriously, Makayla is the best nanny ever! We are sure going to miss her!
