About Makayla

Hello! My name is Makayla, and caring for animals isn't just a job for me. It is a passion. I've had several years of experience working as the main animal caretaker at a pet store, where I provided care for a wide range of animals, ensured clean environments, and supported ill pets with compassion. I also had some college in veterinary nursing, where I gained valuable skills like dog and cat restraint techniques. Beyond that, I've fostered rescued reptiles and am working on earning my wildlife rehabilitation license. I've volunteered at animal shelters, raised funds for rescues, and educated the public about monarch butterflies at events. As far as my own pets, some that I have had include fish, chickens, dogs, cats, small animals, and reptiles/amphibians. I promise to treat your pet as one of my own.
