About Makayla

Unlocking a student's unique potential through personalized support is the cornerstone of my teaching philosophy. Over the past five years, I have cultivated an engaging and patient environment where elementary students can thrive in Math, English, and Art. I assess individual learning styles by actively listening to how students interact with new material and maintaining open communication with parents. When concepts become challenging, I bridge the gap by connecting topics to real-world interests and celebrating every small success to build confidence. I prioritize clear, consistent communication to ensure we remain a collaborative team. Whether we meet at your home, a library, or a local coffee shop, I am ready to help your child achieve their academic goals. Seeing that "aha!" moment when a concept finally clicks is why I truly love what I do.
