About Makayla

I love kids and have had incredible experiences working in childcare. I am also the oldest child in a big family, so caring for young kids is something I am comfortable with and have been doing a long time. I started working with kids babysitting as a teen, and have done some temporary childcare for different professors since starting university. I ended up nannying full-time after my masters degree; I have a great relationship with that family and still do some weekends/trips with them when their current nanny can't make it work. I'd describe my personality as fun, easy-going, and playful. I like working with kids because they each have their own sense of creativity and personality. It's fun getting to see them grow as they experience life. I do, however, take safety seriously when it comes to traveling and activities with kids. I am hoping to do some part-time childcare to earn a little bit on the side and would love to get to know you and your kids!
