About Makaiya

As a college student studying psychology, I am excited to work with children, including those with mental health or neurodevelopmental differences. Last summer I worked as a day camp counselor through the Salvation Army. I overlooked up to 12 kids ages 5-12 throughout the day. This included children with disorders like Autism and ADHD. Starting at 13 years old, I've cared for children aged 1-11. I enjoy playing outdoor games, board games, and educational activities. I am comfortable caring for up to two children. Parents appreciate my calm, patient, friendly, and creative personality. I communicate updates via text, phone, or in person at pickup, following your preferred method. I can assist with cooking, light housekeeping, crafts, and transportation. I hope to be a part of your family's childcare journey.
