About Makaila

Hello there, I currently work as a paraprofessional with Modesto city schools with school age children from kindergarten up to 6th grade. I teach English to English learners and those who need some extra help in their reading skills under the supervision of a board certified teacher. This is my first year as a para, but I have plenty more experience. I was a bus monitor for just over a year. My duties were to safely receive and drop off children to school or their bus stops. I arranged seating charts as needed and helped with difficult behaviors and children with special needs. I also worked at an Air force base for 4 years at an after school program for children ages 5 to 10 where I supervised and led children in activities. I love doing art work, reading, and spending time teaching children.
