About Makaela

Coming from a big family and working in childcare has always driven my passion for helping the youth flourish. For the past 2 years, I've had the joy of working with children aged 5-18, creating a safe, fun, & creative environment where they can thrive. My background in childcare has equipped me with the skills to develop engaging activities. I've had the pleasure of being able to run outdoor activities, STEAM programs, technology based activities, and even creating my own activities for large & small groups! In my role, I have worked as our STEM teacher, ran art club, 2nd-3rd grade Team Lead, & lead many events for our youth as well. I am very comfortable with enforcing household rules & always follow parents' preferred communication methods. I am comfortable caring for up to four children. I am CPR and First Aid certified, have my own car, and am comfortable with pets. Seeing children learn and grow brings me immense happiness, and I hope to continue to make a positive impact!
