About Maizy

Hi I'm Maizy! I like working with kids because growing up I had a nanny over summer break. The connection my family had with our nanny inspired me to want to have that for myself. I love meeting kids where they are and learning from them as much as I teach them. I started working with kids in high school, but gained most of my experience when I moved to Chicago for college. I began helping out a family friend, and over the years, the occasional date-night babysitting became part-time nannying. In my spare time, I like to play guitar, draw, watch movies and tv, read, travel, and learn new languages. One thing you should know about me is I prioritize patience, empathy, respect, and fun! My skills include navigating conflict resolution, engaging children in their interests, and setting clear boundaries.
