About Maiya

Hi- I'm Maiya! I am a dependable, kind and genuine person. I love caring for people, especially those in need. I have been a pharmacy technician for over 10 years, so I am great at problem solving, multitasking and keeping calm in difficult situations. Although I am not a teacher, I am a trainer, so I do have a lot of experience in helping others learn in a way that suites them. I do not have children of my own, but I am an aunt, and also an active godmother to several children. I have been babysitting since I was 12 years old (my mother's coworkers and families at church). I have some experience with dementia care, as my sister recently began to suffer from a similar disease. I help care of her and my niece. That experience has really opened my eyes to how difficult it is on family to care for someone in this stage of life. I want to provide peace for other families in the way I've been able to for my own, by giving dependable care to those who need it.
