About Maiya

Hi! My name is Maiya and I am currently a Junior at Taylor University studying Social Work and Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL). I have had the joy of growing up as the oldest of 8 children in my family and absolutely adore kids! Outside of my home experience, I have worked in the professional child care setting with children ranging in age from newborn to 12 years old. I have also had the opportunity to periodically babysit for a family with children who are now 4 and 1. 5 years old. Engaging with children in an exciting and nurturing way is my priority, along with their ultimate safety and happiness. I am committed to communicating with families to understand their individual needs and opportunities I may have to provide further support. In my free time I love to read, hike, play the guitar and piano, and explore new places. I hope to meet you and your little ones soon!
