About Mairead

I am a rising senior at Thomas S. Wootton High School and I have been working with kids since I was barely out of elementary. I started out my career as a camp counselor at Butler Montessori, where I worked with children ages 4-6. Then I took a child development course in school where we had hands-on interactions with young kids every day! Most recently, I had an internship at Headwaters Montessori school in Texas. I enjoy drawing, running, sailing, rollerskating, listening to music and podcasts, and a whole host of other random hobbies. I can help your kid with reading, writing, or any art activity they would like to explore! Though I have mainly worked with lower elementary ages, I would be comfortable babysitting any age. I love working with kids and take great joy from teaching them and helping them grow. I always treat kids with the kindness and respect that they deserve and I aim to understand and truly listen to their struggles. Your kid is safe in my hands.
