Being the oldest child in my family, babysitting is second nature to me. I have two younger brothers, 15 and 11, and was the babysitter of choice starting when I was 11 years old. I began babysitting for families other than my own when I was 13 years old, and I absolutely love it. So far, I have babysat for 4 families. I have watched 3-month-old babies all the way through 12-year-old kids. Most recently, for the year of 2011, I babysat a girl, 7, and a boy, 9. I was the weekend babysitter during the year, and oftentimes the homework helper. For the entire month of August, I babysat from 6 a.m. - 4 p.m. , Monday through Friday. We played games, did many an art project, and took trips to the nature center and park often. Both kids were involved in sports, so I would bring the girl to gymnastics and make sure the boy was ready for football every day.
