Hi families! I'm Mailyn, a 27-year-old bilingual nanny with over 4 years of childcare experience. I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Spanish from UC Davis, and I'm currently working toward my CDEV Certificate. My goal is to keep expanding my knowledge and ultimately combine my nanny experience with professional expertise in early education. I truly believe that the early years of a child's life set the foundation for who they will become, and I'm honored to play a part in that journey. I love using the Montessori approach to help children grow through play, independence, and hands-on learning. I currently work full-time with two wonderful families, but I'm looking for some extra hours when my schedule allows. Families describe me as warm, patient, and dependable - someone who truly enjoys helping kids learn, explore, and feel loved. I'm also CPR/First Aid certified

We feel so lucky to have gotten to know and work with Mailyn. There’s what I’d view as the table stakes requirements: - Communicative (English and Spanish) and sends daily pics - Always reliable (and typically available to pick up extra weekend or evening time) - Punctual - Safe - Loving (she truly loves our daughter and she loves Mailyn so much) And then there’s everything else that makes her just the best caregiver and teacher a parent could ever ask for (she’s getting her masters in children’s psychology!): - Has an incredibly thoughtful weekly schedule (when we had her full-time) of going to the library, story time, music classes, the different parks in the area, etc. - Focuses on developmental goals, including teaching kids how to get in touch with and regulate their emotions (vocabulary, colors, counting, politeness, sharing, trading for toys, sensory play, arts and crafts, potty training, etc.) - Cooks great healthy food, and keeps things clean And I could go on and on. Cannot recommend Mailyn enough!
