About Maija

Hi, I have 5 years of experience with kids. I have 2 years of infant experience, 2 years of toddler experience, and 1 year experience with children 5-12. I like working with kids because no day looks exactly the same! When you work with kids you never know what tomorrow will bring. For me it's a perfect balance of unexpected adventures and predictability. I'm looking for a job that is exciting, meaningful, and rewarding for everyone involved. Working directly with families gives me the opportunity to make genuine connections with people while doing the profession I love. Plus you get to nurture kids more directly; one on one, compared to larger classroom settings of childcare centers. I started working with kids when I was 16, childcare was my first job and I loved it! I've worked with children ever since. In my spare time, I like to ski, spend time with friends and family, go hiking, watch the latest hit tv show or movie, garden, travel, cook and bake.
