About Maia

I've worked with children for nearly 10 years and am passionate about helping them grow and thrive. I began teaching soccer to children ages 18 months-12 years before spending three years on the child unit of a behavioral hospital, supporting children with behavioral challenges and special needs. I currently work as a Therapeutic Mentor and Therapeutic Support, providing one-on-one care to children ages 3-18 in community and therapeutic settings. I have a bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Art and will begin my online Master's in Social Work this fall. I'm CPR and First Aid certified and enjoy creating a patient, engaging environment through outdoor play, crafts, educational activities, and routine. I'm also happy to help with meal prep, light housekeeping, homework, and pet care. I love building lasting relationships with families and being a dependable, positive part of a child's life.
