About Maiah

Hello! I'm Maiah, a teacher with experience helping students from kindergarten through high school build confidence and succeed academically. Most recently, I taught high school humanities and directed a drama program at New Life Academy, where I adapted lessons to meet individual learning needs and encouraged students to think critically and communicate effectively. Earlier in my career, I taught kindergarten, giving me experience with foundational reading, writing, and math skills. I believe every student learns differently, so I tailor my teaching style to each child's strengths, needs, and goals. My aim is not only to improve grades but also to help students become confident, independent learners. I strive to make learning engaging, encouraging, and even fun.
