About Maiah

Hi! I'm Maiah, and working with children has been one of the greatest joys of my life. I have experience caring for and teaching children of all ages-from preschool through high school-in classrooms, church ministries, camps, and at home. Most recently, I taught high school and served as the Drama Club Director at New Life Academy, where I mentored students, planned engaging lessons and activities, and helped them grow academically and personally. Earlier in my career, I taught kindergartners, helping young learners build strong foundations. Outside the classroom, I've led Bible studies, served as an overnight camp counselor, and helped raise my nephew from birth into adulthood. Those experiences taught me that every child is unique and thrives when they feel safe, encouraged, and genuinely cared for. I'm a patient, dependable, and creative caregiver who loves reading, theatre, music, cooking, history, crafts, and outdoor play. I'd love the opportunity to get to know your family!
