About Maia

I have been working with students of all ages in and out of the classroom for over 5 years, and recently started a position with the Wenatchee School District in their after-school tutoring program. The majority of my experience is in outdoor environmental education, giving me a unique and hands-on approach to learning. I myself have a huge passion for science and find joy in passing on this curiosity to my students. I have worked with many non-profits and education centers and have learned many effective techniques for breaking complex information down into digestible content. I am also fluent in Spanish and learning Portuguese. I will be starting a Master's in Teaching degree this coming September but plan on living in the Wenatchee area for the long term. I also passed the NES Biology endorsement test and feel comfortable tutoring all levels of science, math, and Spanish learners.
