About Maggie

One of my favorite things about working with children is watching them explore their environment, and make connections about the world around them. My background in childcare is formal and informal. A majority of my experience is from helping my brother and sister-in-law raise their boys ages 3 and 10 as their live-in auntie. I've cared for the 3-year-old since infancy, and I was his full-time M-F caretaker between ages 9 months old to 13 months old. Formally speaking I spent one summer working as a camp counselor with children ages 12-17, taking them on outdoor excursions like whitewater kayaking and rock climbing in Wyoming. I currently have a flexible part-time role in a local emergency room as an ER Technician where I occasionally assist with pediatric patients. I am formally trained as a Wilderness EMT/Oregon EMT. Additionally, I am a nursing student at a local community college. I have many time slots in my weekly schedule that I would love to fill in with helping you.
