About Maggie

For six unforgettable years, Maggie was a part of our lives- and truly, what a gift she was. She started by coming just two hours a day to help my mother with light tasks: tidying up, preparing meals, and making sure she took her medications. But as my mother’s needs grew, so did Maggie’s role, and she met every change with grace, compassion, and unwavering dedication. Maggie didn’t just care for my mother- she enriched her final years in ways we never could have imagined. Because of her, those years were filled with warmth, laughter, and dignity. She formed a deep, genuine bond with my mom, and it was a comfort beyond words to witness. Knowing our mother was not only safe and cared for, but truly loved, gave my husband and me the kind of peace we didn’t know was possible. Maggie became someone we could rely on completely- someone we trusted, and more importantly, someone my mother trusted and loved. That level of trust is rare, and Maggie earned it not through big gestures, but through her everyday presence, her steady kindness, and her light-hearted personality. She has a wonderful sense of humor that lifted my mother’s spirits, and a calm warmth that made everyone feel at ease. As my mother’s needs became more complex- mobility issues, personal care, and eventually round-the-clock support- Maggie was always there, stepping up without hesitation. Her flexibility, skill, and heart made a difficult time feel less overwhelming, and even beautiful in moments. Maggie didn’t just make my mother’s life better- she made all our lives better.
