About Mae

I'd describe my personality as kind, enthusiastic, and flexible. I like working with kids because I enjoy being someone in their life that provides a safe and nurturing environment to grow and learn in. I also think that kids have a unique outlook on the world that we can all learn from! I'm looking for a job that is full(ish) time (25-40 hours) starting in June through the end of August. I am hoping to find a family that is kind/respectful and communicates well. I started working with kids when I was 14 as a camp counselor and have since worked as a swim instructor in high school and now as an afterschool teacher in college. I also have had many babysitting jobs throughout the years. In my spare time, I like to be active, creative, and outside! I enjoy outdoor activities such as swimming, walking/hiking, and skiing. I also enjoy crafts and often knit/crochet, paint, and make jewelry. My skills include restorative practices, conflict resolution, and active supervision.
