About Maelen

Hi! My name is Maelen, and I am a 19-year-old Psychology student at the University of Colorado Denver with a passion for child development. I have experience caring for children from infancy through the teenage years, including helping care for my five younger siblings, all under the age of nine, as well as babysitting for other families. In addition to my childcare experience, I worked alongside a Child and Family Investigator and a therapist during my senior project, where I explored play- and art-based approaches to children's emotional development. This experience strengthened my interest in working with children and supporting their emotional well-being. My goal is to provide dependable, attentive care while creating a positive environment where children can learn, grow, and be themselves. I hope to create a supportive and nurturing space where your child feels comfortable, has fun, and explores the world around them with confidence and curiosity.
