Hello there! I have been working with children for many years now, and as a result, I have learned a lot from my interactions with so many different and amazing kids. I have 14 years of child care experience, 4 of which I was a private nanny. I am comfortable with any age range and I am a very hands-on and interactive nanny. I went to school for biology with an emphasis in botanical sciences and that means I want to be outside doing as much as I can. My experience with special needs lays mostly with autism (my youngest sister is autistic), but I do have some experience with physical disabilities and downs-syndrome as well. I am also comfortable working with children who have trauma or going through a rough patch. All I can say is that from working with so many kids, I have a lot of patience and I like to redirect into a positive and constructive outcome. Madi was our part time nanny for our baby boy for about 9 months and was so good with him… and our cats too! She is very knowledgeable about developmental milestones and even helped us figure out a nap routine that worked!! She is very attentive and interactive with him - singing, playing on the floor, reading, responsive feeding, baby sign language, learning his cues, and following my parenting style. He is very bonded with her and even my very shy cat adores her. Madi has a caring, calm, and inviting presence. My son will be switching to daycare now, but we look forward to having her back for occasional baby sitting jobs and pet sitting. She has watched our cats before while we were gone and gave one of our cats medicine too. We will miss having her here regularly!
