About Madison

Hi there! My name is Madison, and I am a current high school English teacher licensed for grades 6-12 with extensive experience working with children of all ages through private childcare and nannying. I am available all summer starting now and could potentially continue into the next school year depending on your flexibility. In addition to teaching ELA, I worked for two years at the Iowa State Writing Center helping college students with speeches, presentations, formal papers, scholarship essays, job applications, and more. My favorite part of this role was not just giving feedback, but helping students build the writing skills and processes needed to become stronger, more confident writers. Because of this, many students returned to work with me throughout semesters and assignments. I love helping students with reading, writing, grammar, guided test prep, ELL support, and more. I am a creative thinker, fun and motivating, and I would be honored to help with your tutoring needs!
