About Madeline

As someone with 2 younger siblings, one being 10 years younger than me, a theme of my childhood was caring for and being around kids. I've loved watching my sister and brother grow up and being able to teach them, serve as a role model, and be someone who they can trust and confide in. I'd love to be someone who is able to take part in this process and be a memorable and fun part of someone's childhood. My top 3 child care skills are patience, gentleness, and encouragement. I understand the need to be serious and stern at times for safety purposes, but I am a proponent of gentle parenting. I think encouragement and praise is a great way to instill good habits and build confidence. I believe it is important to accommodate and respect that children learn and grow at different speeds.
