About Madelina

Radford University senior nursing student set to graduate December 2026. I have a passion to help seniors fulfill activities of daily living while maintaining independence and privacy. My responsibility as a patient care technician is safety; I aid with bathing, and assist with ambulation/ toileting. I provide help with eating (if needed) and preparing meals. While I am able to complete nightly baths for my patients, having 1 patient at home allows for a bath or shower to be relaxing. The environment is calm and I am able to take my time to give the best care. 2023, one year before I began nursing school, I began as a safety partner with SWRMC and closely observed patients at risk of harming themselves/others in a 1:1 ratio. Patients varied from teenaged clients with developmental disabilities/mental health conditions to 65 years old and older w/ confusion or acute delirium.
