Hello! My name's Maddie, and I've worked professionally with children for over 7 years now. My first experience in childcare came early on, as I grew up the eldest sibling of four! Professionally speaking, I started off as a full time nanny for one year, then transitioned into working in education! I've worked for the school district as an Educational Assistant since 2017. I've had the pleasure of working with TK-6th grade. I truly love what I do, early childhood education is something I've grown very passionate about. Apart from teaching in a classroom, I continue to babysit when the opportunity arises. I take pride in my work, and I feel very strongly about showing up as my best self when it comes to working with children. Along with their physical safety, the social and emotional well being of children is something I strive to build up. I love connecting with children, and in creating a safe and nurturing environment, that connection can thrive. And we can all have a good time!

Madeleine (Maddie) was hired to care for our 23 month old last minute after another sitter canceled. She was prompt in her messages to me & prompt in scheduling a call to discuss my needs. She is very easy to communicate, direct, honest & forthcoming…which is all the things I appreciate. I’m a very direct person, flexible but direct. She took the last minute job. Showed up in the time window I gave her for a start time. She was well spoken, professional & very warm & sweet. My son loved her, in fact she distracted him & he didn’t cry at all when we left. Which is great bc he has had trouble with attachment & transitions lately. They played all day. She followed our instructions (but again, I’m flexible haha) got him down for a nap. She texted us a recap of her day with him which was so nice. She answered texts from my husband & I checking in quickly & when she had questions, she asked which I appreciated (again I’m direct haha). She told us that she didn’t have a chance to “pick up” as much as she would have liked but the house was in great shape when we returned. She takes child care seriously & treats kids like the little humans they are. 100% will rehire!
