Over the last 10 years, I have managed a residential youth program, been an environmental educator, backcounty guide for youth, residential camp counselor, and nanny. I have worked with ages 2-14. I am currently looking for a family support job as I am reassessing larger career goals, and beginning to plan to start my own family. Caring for children makes life joyful, I would love to be part of your village! I can provide care at your home, create field trips, or supervise playdates for up to 5 kids at a time on a regular schedule. During the school year I can support in ways such as school drop off and homework. I am happy to support your home in other ways such as basic cleaning, errands, pet care, plant/garden work. I have a Wilderness First Responder certification - this includes infant, child, and adult CPR, advanced first aid and risk assessment skills.

When I think of Mac, the word caregiver certainly comes to mind. As do words like loyal, heartfelt, empathetic, hardworking, and genuinely kind (a rare quality, indeed). Mac has a rare gift: making kids feel not only seen, but understood. They lead with their curiosity and empathy, and encourage those around them to do the same. Mac has not only a gift, but a calling for creating safe, encouraging, and welcoming environments where kids can be their truest selves. I've been privileged to witness Mac work with hundred of kids. Sometimes hundreds of kids at once! Whether speaking one-one-one or to 100 kids at a time, Mac is always deliberate and patient, and always sparks joy. Mac is a caregiver through and through; but what truly makes them unique is their infectious warmth and compassion, which sparks those around them to care, too.
