About Mackenzie

Hello! My name is Mackenzie S. I started nannying and babysitting when I was 13 for family friends and quickly grew a passion for working with children. I was a long-term nanny for two families throughout high school, was a one-on-one camp counselor for two adaptive youth camps, and worked at a mother & child center in Portland, Oregon during my undergraduate education. I spent the last two years working as an English teacher in Madrid, Spain and loved it so much that it has inspired me to further my education and get my masters in education with a focus on Spanish language instruction. I grew up with a brother with a physical disability, so caregiving has always been an integral part of my life. Though I enjoy working with children of all abilities, I have special qualifications in working with mentally and physically disabled youth. In my free time I enjoy spending time outside, biking, reading, doing art and playing music!
