Beginning at the age of about 12, I began babysitting my brother who was 6 at the time. I was responsible for caring for him whenever my parents needed help. I took a more serious job babysitting a 2-year-old boy, whom I would take care of on weekends and nights when his parents had plans. My responsibilities included cooking dinner, bath time, reading books, playing with various toys, putting him to bed and giving proper medications as directed by the parents. I have cared for about 10 families children with ages ranging from a 6-month-old boy who I nannied for a summer, up to a 12-year-old girl who I simply watched after school. I also have my CNA certificate and am CPR certified.

I babysat Kenzie from he time she was 2 years old until middle school. When I had my two boys she began babysitting them and did so through high school until the present time. I have watched her become the most kind, patient, respectful young lady who isn't afraid of a challenge and always finishes what she starts. She nannied for a family with a difficult child a couple of summers ago and I witnessed her work through her uncertainty and frustration in a very mature way. She learned a lot from that experience and I was so proud of her. She has been a wonderful influence on my two boys (ages 3 and 7) and I trust her implicitly. Anyone who works with Kenzie is truly lucky. I also must mention that she is a CNA, is certified in CPR and is studying to do something in the medical field - score!
