About Mackenzie L

I am currently in my 3rd year at UCSB and have been tutoring elementary through high school level students since I was a Sophomore in high school! This past Summer I began a tutoring position at UCSB as the lower division Economics and Statistics tutor, helping 2nd year as well as transfer students pass their final classes to declare the major. When tutoring, my focus remains on assessing individual needs and developing strategies / lesson plans specific to the student's learning style and strengths, as well as creating a supportive environment where they feel comfortable seeking help. I also have babysitting & nannying experience ages 2 - 16 years for the past 6 years. Finally, I absolutely love cats and had them as pets throughout my life before moving to Santa Barbara for school, and am more than happy to board them at my house!
