I spent the past semester of nursing school helping and learning in a long-term care facility for my course clinicals. The semester before that I did volunteer work in a nursing home. I recently had a job in which I cared for a sick, elderly lady in her home. I love being around all types of people, and I feel that seniors have lived long lives and have many great stories to tell as well as wisdom to share. I love forming relationships and getting to know people, and working toward a degree in nursing has taught me so much already and I feel that having a job caring for others can really help prepare me for the future in caregiving.
