About Mackenzie

Hi there! I have extensive experience working with children through both personal and professional roles. As the oldest of four siblings, I've spent years helping care for my younger siblings, which taught me patience, responsibility, and leadership. Mostly, just a lot of patience, lol! I've interned in a kindergarten classroom and with a school counselor, gaining hands on experience supporting both academic and emotional development. I also worked as a special education teacher's aide, where I provided one on one support, helped implement IEPs, and assisted with classroom inclusion. These experiences have deepened my passion for working with kids and strengthened my communication and problem solving skills. I'm currently in college at GVSU working towards earning my bachelors degree in Behavioral Neuroscience and Psychology.
