About Mackenzie

Id describe myself as kind, attentive, and responsible. Working with kids has always been a big part of my life as I grew up helping care for my now 13-year-old little sister along with younger cousins, nieces, and nephews. With a nine year age gap between my sister and I, I got to observe the stages of her childhood while learning patience, responsibility, and how important it is for kids to feel safe and supported. Ive also babysat for families with children ages 3 to 13, helping with homework, reading, routines, crafts, and keeping kids entertained. My sister is on the spectrum and a childhood cancer survivor, which taught me about adaptability, communication, and understanding children with different needs. I graduated from UH Manoa with a degree in Communications and completed four levels of ASL, giving me a foundational understanding of sign language. In my free time I love exploring Oahu, being outside, and doing creative hobbies like embroidery, painting, and crafts.
