About Mackenzie
I have always been a very dedicated student throughout high school and college, and I have found that teaching and tutoring come naturally to me. I have a knack for explaining things in new and creative ways that are easy to understand. My areas of expertise are language arts and music, but I can totally tutor in math as well (up to pre-calculus)! As a professional nanny, I have experience with kids of all ages. I am able to teach subjects in a way that is fun, comprehensive, and appropriate for the child's age and ability. I am now officially a TEFL certified English tutor! My certification course taught me a lot of great teaching and tutoring methods for students with all kinds of different learning styles. As for music, I highly recommend music lessons for kids of any age! Your child is never too young to start making music, whether it's making sounds with rhythm sticks or playing a sonata on the piano. Music is scientifically proven to help the brain develop!

My son was diagnosed with ADHD prior to Mackenzie joining us this school year. She has been fantastic in helping him work with his ADHD and giving him tools to set him up for success in school! Mackenzie above all else exercises a great deal of patience with my son and my family which has allowed us tackle some hard subjects. Mackenzie is someone who you want in your kids’ corner!!
