About Mackenna

I am a student at the University of Missouri studying to become an Occupational Therapist, and I'm passionate about providing safe, engaging, and supportive care for children of all ages. I bring a wide range of hands-on experience, including working as a nanny, day care teacher, swim coach, and staff member at Camp Barnabas, a camp serving individuals with disabilities. These roles have strengthened my ability to connect with kids, adapt to different needs and personalities, and create inclusive, nurturing environments. I love spending time outdoors, planning fun and active games, and cooking or baking with kids when appropriate. Families can count on me for patience, creativity, strong communication, and a calm, dependable presence. My background in caregiving and child development-combined with my ongoing education in occupational therapy-makes me well-equipped to support children's safety, growth, and everyday well-being.
