Several of my siblings growing up had special needs or learning disabilities, including high-functioning autism, ADHD, and dyslexia, and this experience has given me greater compassion for individuals who have different needs and abilities. Additionally, I do have prior babysitting/nanny experience for children with autism, both verbal and nonverbal. Finally, while earning my associates degree in education, I did receive some training and information on special education.
