About Macie

Hi there! I am a 1st year Baylor Graduate student, starting my PhD in Geosciences, specifically paleontology. I've always loved working with kids, in both education and recreational activities. For the past 3 years, I've worked at an Oklahoma museum as an educator for kids K-12, writing curriculum and teaching about nature. Last summer I taught at the Perot museum in dallas as a camp lead, teaching a variety of science subjects to classes of 20+ students. This summer I was also an instructor for cave-paleontology camp for high schoolers, helping them develop professional and technical skills. Additionally, I've worked as a girl scouts camp counselor, teaching young gals archery and other fun activities while emphasizing safety and fun. I'm the youngest of 3 sisters, and family values are very important to me. I am CPR and a certified wilderness first responder. I'd love to meet your family, and I hope we're a good fit!
