About Lynelle

My love for caregiving began when my grandparents became unable to care for themselves but wanted to be able to live together at their own home. I cleaned their home, made their meals, helped my grandma eat (she had dementia), assisted them with their medication, helped grandma bathe and get dressed, etc. I am an empathetic person and I love helping others. I have also cared for a gentleman in end-stage Alzheimer's and a young man who is physically and mentally disabled. The gentleman with Alzheimer's liked when I played old time country music and tossed a balloon or beach ball to each other. My younger client enjoyed playing cards and going shopping. I fully invest myself in learning about my client's needs and wants and then working with them to achieve their goals. I treat my clients how I would like someone to treat my mother, with patience, kindness, respect, understanding and compassion. Working as a caregiver or direct support professional is not just a job, it is my calling.
