About Lynell

I love being a part of a student's success in tutoring. Seeing a student dislike something like reading because they don't have confidence makes me so sad. Helping them gain the confidence to enjoy it is one of the mot fulfilling feelings for me. Whether it's reading, writing, math, or anything else, I just love seeing students grow and feel good about themselves in an academic environment. When I was in middle school I tutored elementary school kids in reading as a volunteer and as a junior in college, I volunteered for a few months tutoring a 3rd grader in reading through READ178. While I don't have a lot of tutoring experience, I have a lot of experience working with kids at summer camps, swim lessons, afterschool programs, sports clinics, and substitute teaching. Subbing especially has taught me a lot about how to help kids learn in a way that works for them individually. I have a lot of experience subbing for middle schoolers and some experience with elementary and high school.
